hello. i recently bought a softmodded xbox off my friend, and needed help with setting it up with flashfxp. i am currently using an ethernet cable, because i still have to purchase a crossover. i wanted to set it up first. the dashboard is unleashx. the problem is i am using a wireless adapter on my COMPUTER and i am not able to change the ip address, without losing a connection. would i have to create a network bridge of my NIC card (which is connected to my xbox) and my wireless card to get xbox on the internet and on flashfxp? one last thing, why does it need to be a crossover cable. i am not even able to update my dashboard unleashx when it is connected. i know the connection works because my 360 connects to live no problem

Have you had a read of my Networking tutorial?

Are you trying to connect directly from the Xbox to the PC or are you using a router\switch?

Again, read my networking guide, it is written around this concept!

You NEED a crossover cable though...

The crossover cable is so your comuter can comunicate with a single other device I.E: Computer or 360 or Xbox. I have a daisy chain so i require all straight cables but you do want to get a crossover.

As for the Xbox connecting, What exactly is plugged into your xbox? Is it a wireless card or an actual cable from the onboard ethernet port.

yeah you will need a crossover cable
Also you wont have to lose your internet connection you can just make a Local area connection with your xbox and not even worry about having to rebuild your home network. I have the same setup at my place
