I have a Matroska video file (.mkv) that is about 220 meg and all I want to do is convert it to divx so that I can play it on my dvd/divx player. I don't want to change any aspects of the file (video/audio quality), I just want to change the format keeping the file about the same size. What's the best program and codec to use?. The file has multiple audio tracks (jap & eng) and also has optional subtitles. I have installed the k-lite codec pack v2.72. Any help would be much appreciated.
Really depends on the mkv. Audio and video could already be compatibile in which case you would just need to remux, the video, audio, subs, chapters, etc. using DivXMux. Could be that some/all the streams aren't compatible, it is VFR, etc.
