    Hello,

As per another thread on these boards, I am curious to know how one can determine their board's BIOS? Well, not so much the BIOS but rather his or her system's Motherboard.

I am pretty sure that a Version 3 NTSC has a GH006 Motherboard. However, before installing/purchasing a ModChip, how can one go about determining which M/B he or she has in their system?

    Thanks!

    D/C - 1A

the only way i know of to determine if you have a gap or no gap bios is to take the ps2 apart and look at the bios chip, if there's a gap in the center of the bios chip without any legs on it then it's gap bios

DevilHunt i was wondering if you would happen to know how to tell what version motherboard i had, not if it had a gap, jsut what the GH00# would be if someone was unsure, the info listed in the previous post is mine by the way. thanx
