Hi. I need help encoding my music into WMA at 36kbps. I listen to B96.3's internet streaming radio and they stream at 36kbps. I have read that with Windows Media codec 4.1 you can encode at this bitrate. It sounds very good to my ears. What I need help with is what program can or should I use to encode music into WMA at 36kbps and what codecs do I need and where can I get them. Thanks.
code it to mp3 not to wma wma is a protected content so if you record it into this you will never be able to copy it to another device or cd-r again!!! mp3 you can copy to everything and you can change the bit rate to go higher or if you want to hear the best quality try converting all of the mp3's into the itunes format the aa or aac format just say no to wma
also to record this into a mp3 i would recommend audio record wizard it costs 30.00 not bad and records everything to and from your sound card including streams you can download the trial version at www.download.com and the software will give you the links to the web apge where you can purchase the program there are 2 versions out right now 1 is audio record wizard 2.99 and the other one is 3.99 try them both out and see what happens??? also make sure you setup the audio recorder options to record the sound comming from the sound card not the microphone port on the sound card
@ johnodd4, What? WMA isn't protected by default. It is possible to create your own (unprotected) wma files that are as functional and flexible as Mp3s or whatever else. @ amg0314, Never pay for a audio convert app. All the best ones are free! I recommend [bold]dBpowerAMP (dMC)[/bold]. It will allow you to convert to and between any popular audio format.
