I have put show tv episodes on a dvd+RW. I was wondering if there is any way to extract these files from the DVD. There are 4 VOB files around 1 gig each. Each one containing some of the 9 episodes I burned. What I want to know is there any way to extract the MPGs that I put on there in the complete form.

you can't extract the mpgs, you can extract the VOBs. the process is called ripping. you can do this with a number of software utilities. Some of the most popular are Smart Ripper and DVD decrypter, both of which can be found in the software section at http://www.afterdawn.com/software/
