ok guys i know what site to go to but my parents dont even know the account or password for our router. Someone know a way i can figure out what it is?
dude whats so damn funny about that. I would reset the router but i dont know where the fuk that button is on it. Next time post something thats worth my while
First things first...ya gonna need to know the IP to get in. Go to Start, run and type in ipconfig. What you need is the Default Gateway IP. Most likely going to be 192.168.1.1, or similar. Then, in your browser, type in that IP. You'll get a login screen. By default, most routers are Admin with the password 1234.
thx for trying to help man but i tryed so many default passwords and s*** for this router to get into it. None of them work i looked all over the internet. Thx anyways though i appreciate it.
if it is linksys then their is no name and pass is admin. you can leave it unplugged for about 5 to 10 mins and it should defualt back to original.
whoops srry guys i thought i posted the model already its a D-Link 604- i dont want to have to reset it and reinstall it all and shit. I tryed so many default username and passwords nothing fukin works. If u guys got any default passwords or usernames that could help it would be appreciated or got a program that i can use to hack into my router too that would be sweet. I tryed all the admin passwrods and username thing and it doesnt work
router should be 192.168.0.1 username: admin Password: (leave Blank) I have a DI-524 and that was default
The following reset procedure will completely restore the default settings on your D-Link device including your password. This procedure applies to the DI-514, DI-524, DI-604, DI-614+, DI-624, DI-624M, DI-624S, DI-754, DI-764, DI-774, DI-784, DI-804V, DWL-700AP, DWL-800AP+, DWL-900AP+, DWL-1000AP+, DWL-2000AP, DWL-2100AP, DWL-6000AP, DWL-7000AP, and DWL-7100AP. Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit. Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button. Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds. Step 4 Release the Reset button. Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting. Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults. Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure. The default user name for most D-Link devices is admin and the password is left blank
ok so will i have to reinstall the connections and shit on the computer to have access to the internet on the other cpus or what. I dont want to do that till i know. I looked for the reset button once b4 and i could never ever find it i looked all over it anyone got a picture of what it will look like?
Hey, it's on the back side of the router where the ports are. It should be between the power jack and the first port, its a small roud hole--there is only one. Once you go through the setup wizard everything should be configured.......Plug and Play
well man i tried the reset button it restarted the router and the internet came back up buti still cant get in the god damn thing i tryed the admin passwords again nothing.
