I have been making copies of DVD movies on my girlfriends PC using: DVD Decrypter, IFOEdit, and Nero. My own's PC CD burner went out so I decided to get a DVD burner. I bought the Sony DRU 500AX model. I installed all the software on my PC and when I use Nero it doesn't recognize the drive. I checked their web site and I can't use Nero's auto-detect feature since its a burner and not a reader. I need to know if there is some way to get Nero to recognize this drive or if I will have to wait until a new version comes out that supports it? Also, what other burning software can I use to burn my stripped out IFO files? I have tried DVDXcopy but that is straight back up from disks. I tried DVD Cloner but that was from disk only as well. Sony bundles RecordNow Max with the drive. Does anyone know if that will allow me to burn my DVD's? Thanks for all help given.
upinit, You don't say what version of Nero you are using. The very latest version is 5.5.10.7b HomerJ
