I am trying to convert a VCD format to a DVD format, i just need to find a good converter. even a converter that converts VCD and DVD to avi, mpeg, divx, etc. do you know of any software that will convert those formats?
You don"t have to convert VCD Files to DVD to Put them on DVD because the VCD Format and the SIF DVD Format are allmost exactly the Same accept for the audio which simply needs to be Resampled to 48000hz.... Converting a VCD File to a Standard DVD Compliant File will Just Ruin the Quality and Greatly Increase the File Size when there is absolutly no Reason at all to Re-Encode the File because it is allready in the Correct Format for DVD accept for the audio... You can author this File Directly to DVD useing either "Tmpgenc DVD Author" or "MediaChance DVDLab Pro" which will resample the audio for you and then let you add your Menu"s and Chapters and then Burn it all to DVD without any Quality Loss Pluss you can Fit up to 4 Full VCD Movies on a Single DVD-R this way.... Cheers
Well What i'm trying to do is put a VCD, a DVD, and quite a few pictures for a slideshow all on one DVD disc. So i just need to convert the DVD and VCD to a common video format, and burn it using sonic's DVDit software. If your right this should work, correct?
Well DVDit should let you Mix different File Types and Pictures on a DVD and it should encode all of the Files to the Same Correct format before it burns the DVD.... DVDit whould be able to Load VCD, AVI, Mpeg, WMV ect files and convert them all to DVD Format and Burn it to Disk without the need for useing any other Software....
