need help genuine validation!!

    ok so i finally got caught with that windows genuine validation bullsh*t and now my os is driving me crazy with that validation note. so i got another serial key that i know is clean. But how do i change my serial number without reinstalling or installing over my os> i heard theirs a way to do it from the run window in start. please help me!!
