Hi! I recently got an xbox that was already modded but i dont know what modchip is in it. Do I need to know? When I boot it, there is a pinkish/red EvoX symbol in the corner and it takes me to the regular xbox layout menu. Im assuming this is the BIOS? ...or something? Sorry Im new at this Anyways I want to install the EvoX dashboard on to the XBox and have followed the tutorials precisely (Evolution X for Dummies and Evolution X for N00bs). Ive made the preperations and the Dummy file. I've burned onto CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and even CD-R just for the hell of it using XISO and Craxtion, but I keep getting the disc isnt recognized message. I burned it with nero and alcohol My sibling was so frustrated too he even destroyed my only CD-RW!! Some tutorials mentioned something about something in the .ini, so i changed some stuff there too but still nothing. Did I miss an important step? Is there something I needed to do before that? I've searched so many forums for the answer. Please help me!! Thank you!
I tried a DVD+R now and it still failed. Does anyone know what I did wrong and can tell me how to fix it? thanks
go on mIRC then go to #xbins follow the instructions, ftp to distribution.xbins.org go to the operationg systems in the xbox folder then the evox software will be in there
