    ok, here's what i have done so far...

    captured the camcorder footage to the comp, and edited it into a movie using Power Director 4. Saved the movie as a High Quality MPEG2 format, which is what the program recommended for DVDs

    i want to make a menu also, since i will be including the movie i just made, and also a movie i made a long time ago, this way either one can be selected from a menu. using DVDlab 1.3, i made the menu, included both movies, and clicked "compile dvd". it saved everyting as 7 VOB files.

    when i play the VOB files back, the menu isn't anywhere, is it saved as part of one of the VOB files, or somewhere else?

    also, the 7 VOB files area total of 7.4GB, and i need to shrink it down to 4.7 to fit on a DVD. i tried to shrink it using DVD Shrink, but it won't let me open my VOB files, it says "failed to open VIDEO_TS.IFO". when i compiled the dvd using DVDlab, this file was never created.

    so how can i create the IFO file so i can shrink it down with DVD shrink?

    Redo the project in DVDLab Pro.
    The regular DVDLab can't do two sets of vobs in one VTS, thus it compiled wrong.
    The Pro version will allow you to use two VTS, one for the new movie, and import the second.
    You then bridge them from the main menu.
    If this is too complicated, look in the help files, it's all spelled out.

    while trying to compile with dvd lab pro, i keep getting an error about 40% through, it says

    "microsoft viusal C++ runtime error

    runtime error!

    program files/dvd lab pro/compile.aux

    abnormal program termination"

    and i checked the folder where the files should be going, and even though it says it was around 40% complete, there are no files in either the AUDIO_TS folder, or the VIDEO_TS folder

    what's goin on here?
