I had a new DVD player and I connected to my Sony TV. But the display was Black/White, no matter via AV cable or S-video cable. The funny thing is when I connect the DVD player to other TV sets, the display was Colored. And I connected a VCR to my TV, it's colored, too!! Could it possible the mismatch? Please Help. Appreciation..
is you sony an old tv, your dvd player may be set to nstc format, rather than pal (depending on where you are from) or vice versa. some older tvs are not pal/nstc compatible and will appear black and white, have a go at changing the settings in tv output/input on your dvds menu.
