Hi, this is my first time posting.

I downloaded the full season of Lost in HD. Now, I have read in many other forums including this one that the two best programs to use will be TsMuxer & mkv2vob. I have used both of these & I'd prefer using TsMuxer(because it is A LOT quicker than mkv2vob).

Anyways, I always use TSmuxer to convert the file from mkv to .m2ts so it will be able to play on my PS3. I never really had a problem until now. Once I tried to convert Lost, my PS3 plays it but no sound comes out just video. I have read that the problem could be due to DTS audio.

How can I convert my mkv file so that both audio and video will play on my ps3? also how can I add subtitles(.ass file) to an .m2ts file so the ps3 can read it?

1.) "How can I convert my mkv file so that both audio and video will play on my ps3?"

You'll have to use a program like eac3to to convert the DTS audio to AC3.

The PS3 only plays DTS audio if it's in a BD structure. It won't play it off of singular files.

2.)also how can I add subtitles(.ass file) to an .m2ts file so the ps3 can read it?

You'll have to re-encode the video with the subtitles hardsubbed into it - in other words, you won't be able to turn them on/off. You can use MeGUI + a simple AviSynth script to do this. (Depending on your processor, your video resolution, and your encode settings, the re-encode process for each episode can take from an hour to a day... or two.)
