Would someone please throw me a link to a tutorial for devhook, with live links? My laser died and I'm looking into how to play my backups without a UMD on the chamber.

I don't want to update my fw though, so what I've read says I might be able to emulate fw instead of updating. Really I just want to play my def jam, which requires fw 2.7, so maybe just 3.0 to be safe.

Could someone please help me here?

    Thanks y'all for reading

I assume it's a PSP 1000, the phat model? You could use DevHook, but I really would not recommend it, because it has been outdated for around 7 years by now. Also I don't know if there ever was a version that worked well without an UMD in the drive. Here's a tutorial I found when googling for devhook:
    http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1933/psp_installing_devhook_v51_psp_v1_50_firmware/
Not tested and I don't know if the files are still hosted anywhere. The link in the tutorial is dead.
I know you wrote that you don't want to do this, but I still would recommend updating to the latest custom firmware.
