I have a malware, adware and trojan problem and mcafee wont get rid of them. I want to know if anyone can help me reboot my xp so every software, files, ect (including the malware and trojan) are completely gone. I want to start over. Can someone help me? I have the windows xp setup cd. Is that the same as the xp rebooting cd? Can someone show me the step by steps? Thanks in advanced. How do I reformat my PC?

Rebooting = Restarting computer (shuting down, turning on)

Reformatting is completely wiping the hard drive.

Insert your XP disc, and slecect Install/Reinstall.
When it asks where you would like to install it, delete the partition you havem and make it create a new one, and then install.
