need help reformatting the HD

    My xbox's hard drive is completly messed up. i keep getting error code 7 so i need to re format it. to do that i need to go system info and enter a code there based on the kernal and dashboard. My xbox uses k:1.00.4817.01 and D:1.00.4817.01
    I need to find the controller codes for these so i can restore my hard drive. Anyone know where i can get them?

    First off is your HDD softmodded or are you using a modchip? If it is softmodded, located a linux xbox app and restore it thru that. If your using a odchip, wait till someone else replies. I have no idea.

    i find the easiest way is use xboxhdm v1.9, extremely simple and very useful.

    @DanandJen - that sig is ridiculous, it's the size of my screen; let's see it resized or removed ASAP. Allowed sizez are in my (ever so slightly smaller) sig
