Hi Paul again. I already posted this as a new thread you can delete if need be:Hi all, i have the box pvr. when running autoscan or manual scan can you change from KHz to MHz. every time i scan for channels the box only seems to scan in the KHz and not MHz. Am in Dublin any help greatfully received!!!!
I downloaded latest bin file aswell from s*tdownloads and now can access secret menu although there is no emu option just autosearch on or off. The question re KHz to MHz might sound dumb but this is the only reason i can think of as to why I still get no chanells. thanks for help Sc0user

    Hi
The auto update option in the Cas System menu(bottom item) is the emu on/off.
Don't seem to be able to alter KHz to MHz, but why would you want to?
In the Installation menu are you setting your provider in the top item 'Cable Network' using right arrow button on remote Prior to autoscan? Also are you sure you are in the Cable input socket at the back as it is easy to get it into the wrong socket?

Thanks jbvideo. the cable from n*l box is in correct input, i have all analogue channels . I just thought id mention KHz to MHz cos on autoscan KHz is the range scanned. eg 378250 KHz to 826250 KHz ( 64 qam) 6887 Ksps , 100% ,0 programmes found. I noticed on another post the frequency for say RTE ONE on n*l is 339.500, is this in KHz or MHz. every thing else i have done right but still have no programmes. I connected up my pace n*l box and pick up the digi channels no problem does this mean i have strong enough signal for the box pvr to work. Im at me wits end at this stage!! considering dumping the box in bin. forgot to mention should emu be on or off during autoscan ,
    thanks for help

    Hi
Which version of the firmware do you have in the box pvr at the moment?
I am running E_ver 4.500 6th July in my Box pvr which works fine for me in Central UK so it may be worth trying that one, but several forum members in Dublin have been having a lot of problems scanning and getting zero with pvr's. I would think the emu would need to be off prior to a scan.
