    yea that would probably be the easiest way i would also recommend gettingxbox media center so u can watch any type of video type like avi,mpeg and all that good stuff plus a full movie in avi form is only about 700 mb to were a dvd is around 4 gigs ouch!!! but u would need to use dvd2xbox if u cant ftp to your box.

    @tny23

    dvd2Xbox and Xbox media center are aplications. Download the latest versions of them and place them into your (Apps) aplication folder which should already be on your Xbox HDD somwhere.

    You can get them at Xbins. Below is a guide on how to get on Xbins.

    I would also sugest not ripping or playing DVD's on your Xbox.

    It will fill your 160GB HDD up pretty quick with DVD's ripped to your HDD when each are uasly 5 to 7 GB in size. If you do this you might want to think of ripping the DVD to Xvid so you can fit more on it.

    Playing your movies off the Xbox DVD Drive will only ware out your drive quicker.

    Id suggest buying a DVD player at a store and not waist time putting movies on your Xbox. You can get a DVD player with Xvid capibilites for $60 at walmart.

    But thats just my opinion.

    @theridges
    That was good advice about instlling XBMC. I love that program. I used to burn my Xvid movies onto disc and play them on my DVD that suports Xvid. But now I dont even do that I just use XBMC on my Xbox to network to my PC and play the Xvid off my computer HDD. Saves on CD-Rs and so much easier.
