    hi,

you got more problems than just a error message.

ok first we will use hjt, then boot into safe mode to look for and delete some files

    trendmicro:
start HJT, click the "Scan" button. check the items below, close any open windows, then click "Fixed checked"

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [gfxtray] rundll32 ctccw32.dll,findwnd

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [iso four] "C:\ProgramData\Long Axis Axis.0kuabk"

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [warn default inter for] "C:\ProgramData\Sixth kind spam.ikugd08"

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [{F68C8F7A-9E91-89B4-238A-AEA1531D2CA9}] C:\Users\Hargis\AppData\Roaming:svchost.exe
    ------------------------------------------
    safe mode part:
you might copy/paste this into notepad and save it so you can find in in safe mode.

to show all files do this:

    # Click Start.
    # Open Computer.
    # Press the ALT key.
    # Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
    # Select the View Tab.
    # Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
    # Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
    # Click Yes to confirm.
    # Click OK.

next using explorer see if you can find and delete the following:

    two are here:

    C:\ProgramData
    you are looking for:
    Long Axis Axis.0kuabk
    and:
    Sixth kind spam.ikugd08

cant tell if those are folders or just files or what but delete them both

    next:
    C:\Users\Hargis\AppData
    you are looking for:
    Roaming:svchost.exe
    delete it.

    still in SAFE MODE:
run superantispyware and your antivirus also.

    reboot normally.
    ---------------------------------------------------
first stop: a online scan here:
    ESET online scanner:

    http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/

    uses Internet Explorer only
    check "YES" to accept terms
    click start button
allow the ActiveX component to install
click the start button. the Scanner will update.
check both "Remove found threats" and "Scan unwanted applications"
    click scan
when done you can find the scan log at:C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
please copy/paste that log in next reply and a new hjt log.

ok good, but the error msg should be the least of your worries. if you followed the rest of the directions and those 04 items are not appearing in a rescan of hjt do this:

One of the features of Windows ME or XP is the System Restore option, however if a malware infects a computer with this operating system it can be backed up in the System Restore folder. Therefore, clearing the restore points is agood idea after malware is removed.

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

    (winXP)

    1. Turn off System Restore. (deletes old possibly infected restore point)
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

    2. Reboot.

    3. Turn ON System Restore.(new restore points on a clean system)
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK, then reboot
