Need Help with a Xbox Samsung Drive Replacement!

I recently bought a samung SD-616F DVD drive off the net because I read a tutorial about how to modify the drive to read origional xbox games, and everything else. I completed the tutorial, and it still wont read anything when hooked up to the xbox. It still reads stuff in a PC though. so, Im like what the hell?????? Well, has anyone else done this. Im linking the tutorial, I know that it doesnt read SD-616F, but I read that you could use the 616F or 616T in a tutorial on xbox scene, but its down now for some reason. Anyways, here is the site:
