ok so i want a computer!
Now here are the reasons im only willing to spend bout a $100 bucks(maybe more)
-I already have a moniter, 40gb hardrive, 2gb ram, and a great DVD drive.
-I also dont want a gaming computer just a medium/low computer for basic internet surfing but i want it to be pretty fast but not too fast
-Im not looking for games so graphics card can be crappy, but i want a medium CPU, processor, etc. everything i need to build me a computer

Could you please list below how much this would cost?
Note* i need to buy a CPU case but that can be a crappy 10 dollar one also, and i found this processor on newegg
    AMD Sempron 64 3800+ Manila 2.2GHz 256KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Single-Core Processor-30 bucks!
so I i think im covered w/ the processor.

If you only have a 40GB hard drive your PC is probably much too old to take a CPU like that, and probably will be impossible to upgrade properly below $200-$250.

He isn't upgrading an old computer, just has lots of parts laying around.

Even for a ghetto rig 100$ isn't much to go on. It will need to cover your CPU (Retail version so it comes with a CPU fan), power supply, case, motherboard, and videocard. Sam is right when is says 200-250 would be a lot more viable. Is your memory DDR or DDR2?

Indeed, On $100 I just assumed it was an upgrade because you can't build a PC for anywhere near that...

If we're building around those parts we need to know what RAM you have, as there are different standards and speeds. Can you give us the information on the sticker?
