Hi. I have a bunch of movies in DivX,XviD and mpeg format. I've used WinAvi 6 to encode them to DVD. After i did that, i figured i forgot something. After i get AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS, i can't make menu nor can i add subtitles. So please if you know how to add subtitles to .VOB files, or even earlier to AVI,mpeg files and then transcode it to DVD please write it here. So generaly i would like you to help me with 2 things:

1.) How to make menu and add subtitles after you create AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS ( .VOB) files ( or maybe better said, how do you add that)

2.) How can i do it before creating .VOB . So how can i make permanent or optional subtitles and "burn" it into avi or mpeg file, make menu and then transcode that avi or mpeg file to DVD?

Thanks for your help, i know it's too many questions and probobly solutions, but i'm a real begginer and i don't yet know how to use all the functions of the programs. So please if you know how to do it,write your reply in steps, easy way, so i can follow. Thanks for your effort.

If you want Subtitles and Menu"s and Chapters in your DVD you are Going to have to Do this a Completely Different way...The way you are doing it is the Simple way which doesn"t allow for any of these Features....

What you Need to do First is Encode your Files to DVD Compliant Mpeg-2 files (Not to VOB Files in a Video_TS Folder) and after you have the Mpeg-2 file you Load it into a Good Quality DVD authoring Program that Supports the Features you want on your DVD Like "MediaChance DVDLab Pro" ....

MediaChance DVDLab Pro will allow you to add Menu"s and Chapters and add selectable subtitles to your DVD and it will Format it all into a Video_TS Folder which it will then burn to DVD ,or you can Burn it to DVD with a Seperate Program like Nero.....

Useing a Proper DVD authoring program Like DVDLab Pro is going to take a Bit of Learning and Trial and error but once you have it Figured out you will have Much Nicer Looking DVD"s and with all of the Features you want......

    Cheers

Thanks. I'll try to do it with DVD lab. I found a software that'll convert from avi and mpg to mpeg-2 format, and after that --may God help me.. :) . I'm sure i'll figure something out. Thanks for the help.
