This is really making me mad as I have spent a few hours trying to figure this out. I am not really a newb to this whole modifying process as i have modified my psp and xbox before. I have tried a few tutorials one concerning opening up a file inside a hidden folder on the root of the psp and changing a few numbers around...that did not work. i have also tried a tutorial on downloading a program with the name wizard in it (can't remember the name, sorry)and that made me open a folder of the date March 3 or something of 2005 and select the updater run it and see that is says ipod is up to date. The open up the wizard hit downgrade it okay than hit update on the 2005 updater. Unplug from computer and plug into wall charger anf follow setup. I have tried to do this at least 15 times and only one time did it actually downgrade, from firmware 1.4 to firmware 1.3. The other fourteen times it did nothing. Unfortunitly i need firmware 1.2 or lower to install linux on my windows ipod. Anybody suggestions or comments on what to do it would help A LOT,
    Thanks (sorry for run-ons)
