I have a Dell Inspiron 600m. When I plug in the cable to connect to the internet, the computer doesn't recognize that there is a cable plugged in. I have tried reinstalling the drivers but that doesn't help. If someone would please help me connect to the internet with my laptop, it would be appreciated. Thanks

Did your ISP give you a CD? Do you have a modem/router?

I have a router. The router works fine as I can go on the internet from my other computer. The problem is the laptop. It doesn't recognize the internet cable plugged in. it used to work but now it doesnt anymore.

Have you tried another cable? Have you checked the connections are still OK?
