dvd decrypter keeps saying-device not ready medium not present- what does this mean. and the end of the dvds start freezing i was told its burning to close to the edge is this true and if so how can i change that thanks again
it means you havent got a disk in there,or if you have,it doesnt recognise it (firmware upgrade may be required) open up the app that you are using to shrink the dvd,there should be a target size setting some where
hi hursty buddy sounds like you are useing a new type disc than the norm, as you sound as though you have done a few films to date but all of a sudden you are getting probs... but basically i think its the media used! tell us the id code dye info from one of these discs please... use dvd decrypter or dvdinfo pro or dvd identifier to get this info
To change the target size in shrink go to: Edit>preferences and then on the preference tab click the Target size down arrow and select Custom. Then type in 4300. The other issue I would guess is a firmware upgrade issue. You can check for upgrades here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php
hi also slightly confused with your first statement as you say it wont read the discs and then go on to say it could be burning to close to outewr edge of discs, this pionts to you may have got some to burn???
