    My problem is this....
I got a sony DCR sr33 handycam. All the video files that I load off it onto pc are in .MPEG format.

My first problem is that when they are all in a file on the pc there is no thumbnail pic available. I have to open them up to see what the content is.....how can I get a thumbnail pic for each file without making one for each file ?

Second problem is.....I'm used to using windows movie maker. It a fairly simple and easy program for me. It doesnt recognise .MPEG files, so I've been converting them with WinAviVideoConvertor to .WMV files. I've been doing this because these have thumbnail pics . But, This takes up so much time.

How can I speed up the process of getting files off the camera, editing them and burning the movie ?

    Thanks.

p.s, nero doesnt work for me....never been able to make a vid with it yet !

    thanks for your reply.
videospin looks good but runs really slow on my pc. in the preview window the video and sound freezes all the time.
I think it must use too much of my computers resources compared to WMMaker. I think it looks similar to WMMaker anyway.

videoredo is a program I've used before....and I like it.
Not sure it'll help me with what I need it to do.
    Thanks anyway.
