need help with hard disks

    i NEED more gig, so need to buy another hard disk, but i dont know what is compatible with my sony vaio. people ask about my motherboard, but i have no idea where to find out about it on the pc.
    please help!

    A good place to start would be the exact model number of the unit (normaly on sticker on underside of case)and what size drive is already fitted.

    i have a sony vaio PCV - Rs402

    i have a c-drive at 30 gig
    and a d-drive at 120 gig
