Usually if you have a lightscribe disc you just flip it over and the app will start by itself. Also I think Nero has design software for lightscribe.

Did you install the drive with the drivers provided by Phillips?
Was Nero installed before or after you install the drive?

ok, i bought a bunch of hp lightscribe dvd +rs and use lightscribe template maker. I imported a picture of the dvd i wanted and printed it, IT LOOKED TERRIBLE. I thought this was supposed to be new better technology. Im problable going to go out and buy a printer that can print on dvd +rs now. Am i doing something wrong or is lightscribe really that bad??????????

    Advice would be appreciated

I don't use lightscribe..takes too long and discs are expensive. I use a Canon Pixma printer and use Verbatim ink jet printable discs....I get my covers from here http://www.cdcovers.cc

Here's a sample of the results
