I tried downloading ngcdev ripper v0.2a zip file from http://ngcdev.com but the .exe aplication file wont open with winzip. I downloaded v0.1b and that .exe file opened up no problem. Is something wrong with the file? Or is there something else I can try to see if the app will open?

It's all there in winzip the text file opens but when i click on the .exe app just a small window flashes for a fraction of a second? If this can't work would someone be willing to send me a working ngcdev ripper v0.2a?

    I CAN'T BELIEVE I"M STUCK ON STEP 1!!!!!!

The .exe file won't actually open when you run it. What it does is it changes the settings in the .dol file if you need to change you IP settings to be on your own network. The .txt file that comes with that download should give you the instructions. Basically open the .ini file with notepad or some basic text file editor, change your network IP settings there, then you can run the .exe file to make the changes. Then you can burn that to a dvd-r or mini dvd-r and then run the .dol file from your gamecube. I hope that helps.

On your computer, if you goto Start -> Run, and type in cmd and press ok. Then on the black dos window type in IPCONFIG, what is your IP address?

Well you are defintely on the right subnet as the gamecube IP. Are you connected through a router that they are both plugged into? I couldn't think what else could be causing the issue.

I'm connected through a hub. I've backed up my first game MarioParty6 successfully with cubesoft phoenix but it doesn't load. Others like Mario Sunshine from "starcube" loads properly. Than I thought this new ngcdev ripper might work better, but I haven't seen any detailed steps to take after you get to this "192.168.1.32/backup.iso" screen.
I'm stuck to this point. Would anyone that have used this ripper successfully give me some advice?
