Hiyas, I recently bought a Nokia 6010 on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5822934688 It says there it was originally for AT&T and got switched to Cingular, and that it is also unlocked. My phone was originally AT&T and got bought by cingular - so I have an AT&T sim card. Now when I put my SIM card in, it says "Phone Restricted" and I've tried a WHOLE bunch of numbers to no avail.. Is there a chance someone could help me out? My phone's IMEI is: 010417/00/122566/7 Thanks a lot!
Have you seen the message [bold]can not undo restriction[/bold]? Also, what sim will work in the phone?
No I havn't seen the can not undo restrictiom essage yet. It just says wrong code. Also I only have 2 sim cards (they are both AT&T sim cards from a family plan we purchased 2 years ago - they both say phone restricted) when I take one card out it says insert sim. I can not get to a menu.
Enter this code only once and make sure all digits are correct on the phone before you press the last # Please let me know the result. Note the exact message that appears. Start the code entry from the insert sim screen. #pw+307516632537111+7#
I just read the auction and it does state that the phone was unlocked and now that you have seen "can not undo restriction", I know it wasn't unlocked. You can get your money back on the phone by filing a complaint. The only way to unlock the phone will be with a DCT 4 clip at an electronics shop, privately owned shop most likely. [bold]Seller assumes all responsibility for listing this item.[/bold] That's at the bottom of the auction and you can file a complaint with PayPal if that's how you paid.
