OK well I went out and bought a pack of maxell HighGrade 8X DVD+R's and a pack of Maxell 4x DVD-R's Both say made in japan. neither worked. Let me explain whats going on in more detail.

When I load up the magic Swap dvd disc I get the screen that says:

    Load Program
    Video: (NTSC/PAL/NORMAL)

Press X for normal boot Square for Special boot.

After I get to teh menu I open the tray and put in the backup. When I open it up the screen reads something like Lager Toc file needed. I pop in the backup and then it takes me back to the boot screen. When I press x or square to boot it will not boot the blank.

I used Alcohol to burn the images at 4X. It sounds like im doing everyhting right? What u guys think?

Also with the 3 fixes I put into the ps2 the fix that goes here:

last night I broke the reset button off my newly bought PS2. So I packaged it up, brought it to EB Games, (I had a warrenty) and said I wanted to return it.

The cashier said she could give me a used slim ps2, it would come with a 6 month warrenty and i'd actually get $15 back. So I did that, and I got a older model so I just put in fix 3 without a hitch.

But i am afraid that fix 3 might be beat up from me trying to fit it somewhere it should have been going? But it is fully in there but the bottom of the piece may be a little bent. Could this be a problem??

thank again for all the help.

i use nero to back up my games and have no probs so far after 80+
or you can use dvd dycrypter

just straighten the clip and reinsert, i had to use a small piece of selotape to hold down the clip by the lid hinge so it dident move

you can leave the lid open to play with the slim ps2 as it also keeps cooler

try differnt media that might help

also what game are you tring to backup as some games need rebuilding or patching

Well if you were original getting the screen that said insert larger TOC
then the PS2 knew that the PS2 lid was open so the tools you had weren't working properly in that ps2...
