need help with question

i want to use my xbox for internet or linux and still play games on it i don't care about xbox live, and i was planning on getting a mod chip and bigger hard drive later i've heard about dual boot and dual hard drive any info on my question would be great and maybe some instruction or links to instructions on how to do it thanks

 

If you don't care about xbox live then you don't need a dual boot anything. Dual boot refers to where when you power on with the "power" button the softmod or chip is activated, when you power on with the "eject" button then the regular ms dashboard boots up without the mod so you can play on live.
You just need to figure out what would be the easiest for you to install a softmod or a chip.
If you can't figure it out you might want to try searching craigslist for modders in your area.
