hi Rotary and thanx for replying..

Yes I want the backup to work in all cd drives!

I used Alcohol 120 but I'm not sure I did it right! There are many parameters and I don't know exactly what to do best for sd 2.9 !!!

I would be very glad if you help me get through this!!

    thanx

    hi

    i would use blindwrite!

read at 4x and write at 8x

use the "authorise the use of alternative read method" for read! NOT extract sub codes!

then on write "nibble" i think?

    and write at DAO-PW

and tick autoplay! (configuration) so you will need blindwrite loaded to play! on any cdrom! not sure if it can be done without emulation!

    Thx...

Why use "unstable" BlindWrite Suite good buddy?
Alcohol 120% is the more reliable program for Safedisc 2.9 as that "autoplay" feature of BlindWrite still driving me crazy. I advise you stick with Alcohol 120% using the safedisc 2 datatype profile to read the image of the protected cd and burn as well. Burn RAO DAO at 8x and read the protected cd at 24x. Depending upon the name brand and model of your burner will determine if you need emulation to play your backup.

    hey there shoey,

on the blindwrite all the games i got and there backups i done with blindwrite, i know its more for securom but i got all the safedisc games done with it to and they all work, so i suppose people stick with what works...

but yes alcohol seems to be coming in leaps and bounds on protection which is good for our backups! the day good ol blindwrite dies on me i'm on alcohol from then on!

    chill all...

After I disabled "autorun" or "auto insert notifiation" on my pc, my backups of Safedisc 2.8-2.9 using BlindWrite Suite won't run on my system. My backups made with Alcohol 120% work just fine and until the BlindWrite Team decides to add emulation (hide cd-r) to it's program then it's Alcohol 120% for me (Safedisc 2.8-2.9) and BlindWrite Suite for SecuROM 4.8.3& up. I even emailed the BlindWrite Team to "consider" ading emulation to their program to be the "king" of the dup programs and I'm still awaiting a reply email........ Long live "red" beer (hehe)
