i read here on this forum about CJPC (Tonight CJPC had some freetime and decided to install Linux Fedora Core 5 (PPC iSO) along with PS3 Other OS Installer and the kboot from the CELL-Linux-CL_20061110-ADDON.iso file.logged into the shell and dumped the Extended OS Area (which resulted in 4.0 MB (4,194,304 bytes) by using: dd if=/dev/sdb of=/extendedos.img If you happen to own a 60GB PS3, you can use this command instead to dump directly to your PS3's HDD: dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/imagename.img)

is this true because i downloaded a game Gripshift for PS3 and tried it on a JAP PS3 but it didnt work. u c the place where it says .imagename.img do u have to put the image name like gripshift as its file b4 brunig form. also i have a Jap ps3 (region 3) and got Motorstorm (region 1) to work on it. will the ntsc burnt games work on it.
thnx. if your flamed on by me i tried everywhere before posting here.

Can't use dd command for some reason , i don't know Why?

It says that 'dd' is not recognized as an internal or external command.
