    Hi there

I hope I'm not posting the message to the wrong group. I'm a newbie and desperately need help.

I have only burned a DVD once, last nite and I got some unexpected results. I hope someone can help me.

I'll try to get the information detailed enough so you know what I'm going through.

I have 4 episodes of a show, each about 40 minutes to burn on a DVD. I got them as rmvb. I don't have a DVD burner on my own machine; so, I first used winavi, batch mode, to convert them to VOB files. After getting a directories of VOB files, I used the iPod to transfer these files from my computer to my roommate's computer. He's got the Nero software and DVD burner.

I burned the files on his machine, no problem. However, when I played it on my home dvd player, when I hit the >> button, it didn't go to the next episode. It goes to somewhere in the same show. I believe what happened with winavi is that there were some automatic chaptering authoring happening.

I have no idea how winavi bookmarks the chapter? I don't want these chapters.

Just so that I could compare, I took out my sitcom Friend's DVDs. The result I found is that on each Friend's DVD, there are 6 episodes, and they actually are all Title 1. The different episodes are
    Title 1 Chapter 1,
    Title 1 Chapter 2,
    Title 1 Chapter 3, etc.

I would like something like that. If winavi does in fact provide automatic chaptering authoring in batch mode, is there any way I can suppress it?

    Please help.
    Thanks

Hi. You may have figured it out by now, but if you click on the advanced button you will see a check mark next to "set chapter length". If you remove the check mark you should no longer have that problem.
