I ma desperate. I downloaded the movie files. some are par files and some are winrar. I extracted the first 001.rar file and got the bin /que file. now what? what do I do with the other files in between which have descending numbers attached to them? is there an online tutorial on how to do this. Also how do I know ifI have all the pieces of the movie? thanks
Winrar works like winzip... if you have the .001 extension that's because it's the first part of a multiple volume file. What you should do is place all files in the same folder and when opening file 001 winrar will ask where are the following parts, you select this same folder...
I understand. one problem though, some of the files are par files. I was told to use sfv checker to see if I have all the components, then do I use smart par and then winrar? some of my files are par and the majority are rar. thanks for the response.
Par? I haven't heard of them... Winrar checks the integrity of the compiled file and if it detects anything wrong will inform you and not allow to go on. Try and see
