    I just can't seem to get it started.
    I've been working on it for the past 3 hours and I'm still stuck.
    My networking skills doesn't extend very far at all.

    Basically the main problem is when i try to enable DHCP,
    so it automatically setups my access point...
    but everytime i click the apply button,
    the access pointer router doesn't work anymore.
    i then have to reboot it, to factory settings,
    and start the process over.

    anyone have any tips?
    thanks =)

    I assume you are enabling DHCP for your LAN, correct? Try enabling DHCP on the router and then checking your PC's networking settings. Make sure it's set to DHCP (Assign IP Address Automatically is what you'll see in the setup screen). You may have to refresh your IP address after doing this by right-clicking your network connection and clicking Repair (or, alternatively, from DOS or the Star->Run menu, issuing IPCONFIG /RELEASE followed by IP CONFIG /RENEW. That should get your PC to accept the new IP address.

    Netgear products can have some serious problems with DNS, because they are designed to intercept DNS requests looking for routerlogin.net. That means you should find out your ISP's DNS servers and set them up manually in your PC's DNS settings.
