i know i am suppose to patch it. i dont understand how. i am running windows xp pro. i am going to retype the directions and maybe someone can help me figure this out. first this is what i have done and where i am at. I made a CLEAN ftp of the game from the D: drive of my xbox to the PC HD , then copied the XBEPatcher.exe into the game directory that I created on my PC HD. now this is where i am stuck. i dont know how to run from a DOS Shell the option XBEPatcher -mtx_ntsc : patch MTX Mototrax NTSC version.

below is what was in the .nfo file.

hubevolution presents the XBEPatcher a simple tool to help you play your original xbox games from the HD even when the game has long filenames.

    REVISIONS :
    0.3 : NTSC MTX support
0.2 : MTX Mototrax specific patching
    0.1 : Generic patching

    HOWTO :
to use it make a CLEAN ftp of the game from the D: drive of your xbox to the PC HD , then copy the XBEPatcher.exe into the game directory that you created on your PC HD and from an MS-DOS shell run the XBEPatcher using the following options :

XBEPatcher -mtx : patch MTX Mototrax PAL version
XBEPatcher -mtx_ntsc : patch MTX Mototrax NTSC version
XBEPatcher : with no option will try a generic patch (BETA)< USE ONLY IF YOU ARE BETA TESTING >

once patched you can delete the file "default.xbe.bak" (is the not patched original file) and ftp all the game back to your xbox HD.

How to make this program work

Copy the default.xbe from the game to a folder called game on your pc c:\ drive and place the patcher program in their as well
    e.g. C:\game
on your PC, Click the start button, go to all programs, scroll till you get to accesories, in there you will seen an option for command prompt, click this
you will now have an msdos box appear
type the following [bold]CD\[/bold] and press enter
now type the following [bold]CD GAME[/bold] and press enter
Now type [bold]XBEPatcher -mtx_ntsc[/bold] and press enter
you will now find the patched default.xbe on your pc c:\ drive
in the c:\game folder that you created earlier
    good luck and happy gaming
