can someone help me decide wich modchip for xbox to get or infact just clue me in on this whole xbox chip thing because I thought the only thing u had to do was buy the chip and u could then play back up games etc. But now I find out u have to install certain software on your xbox. In need of help. Thanks
As for the Mod Chip...go with Xecuter3. Have you ever bought a computer or laptop and not installed software on it and got any use out of it??? Think of XBOX modding as a PC. The chip is there as an extension of the motherboard but that gives new BIOS to the system (a new brain) now, you need software and other tools to make this new brain function. The chip just gives you the capability to explore all the options...you've gotta load software to use them *wink*
Well, you don't load software to the BIOS. BIOS can be flashed with updated BIOS but that's it. The hdd is what hold the software, just like a computer. And once the XBOX has been modded (sometimes it's a process one in the same) the software can be loaded via a disc or FTP from your computer.
ok i have all the programs as in dothalo and all that stuff but now i need to no how to ftp my xbox like where do i get a crossover cable and do i need a mod-chip to do this also?
