Ya, I'm all good to go now, for the most part. I just followed those 2 tuts, this being my first xbox mod. That second tut was wrong. With the slayer installer, I was trying to "install/upgrade" the apps. Can't upgrade if I didn't have them installed to start with. I found the manual for 2.6. Now I lost my connection to my pc, so I'm researching it somemore. Thanks for taking the time to reply, though.
i got version 3.0.1 Flashbios on my xbox with a X3 CE. I needa find out how to set the banks ( 1 - 4 ) and the protect on or off. ANd i also dont know what programs i have to load onto the xbox. I tryed alot of differnet things and it says Programming Failed or the Upload never finish. Looking for help. Thanks you.

ok so i got my xecuter3 ce and an xapter, and an xbox 1.0 i've done basically everything except for connecting the D0 wire from the xapter to the mother board because i dont think it's making a connection... i just did some more searching and finally found a tut on how to install the xapter pertaining to one that actually LOOKS like mine... all the sites i've found had a black plastic xapter but i have a clearish blue one with LED's.... basically i just found out that there is an LED that says if the d0 wire is making a good connection.... mine isn't.... i have to press it down into place but i cant make it stay... i can't bend the wire to get it to stay.... would soldering it while it's on be really really bad? even if whoever is soldering it is supposedly really really good? (one of my friends dad is appairently a solder god) and uh.. i'm not absolutely positivly... positive that it's the d0 wire thats screwing me over because i cant hold it down and have the xecuter on at the same time to see if anything shows up... a bigger concern of mine is that, if the d0 wire isn't installed and making a good connection then shouldnt my box just boot up with the microsoft bios? because right now it just turns on then off, on, off, and then stays on till i turn it off... and while it's just staying on the eject button flashes green then red and the external xecuter switch stays red... do i need to have the dip switches on that set to something? and the little wheel on the xecuter, do i need that rotated to a certain point?
ok you just have to get the wire to stay in make sure your putting it in the right place, are all the other leds lighting up? there should be like 5 of them on some of the wires you have to bend them a certain way to get them to stay, can you post the tut you followed?
well thankyou for the help but i got it. i followed like 10 different tuts though lol. none of them could give me ALL the stuff i needed. but basically what i did was pulled the d0 wire out of the xapter and bent it straight, then stuck it into the hole where it needed to go and my dad soldered it there, then we screwed the xapter onto the board, put all the wires and stuff back, then bent the d0 wire into the xapter because it's bigger so it was a LOT easier. we tested to see if ALL the LEDS light up and such and they did, and the external switch was blue (for a change) so i put it all back to gether and pluged it into my tv and lucky me it worked. the bios screen came up and now all i have to do is hope that the cd i made with the xecuter bios loads up and works... my brother's friend has like 3 modded boxes so if it doesn't then i'm just gonna give it to him let him put some awesome stuff on mine.
just ftp the bios over it is so much easyer, all you have to do is click on network flash and then enter the box`s ip and a flash bios screen will come then you just find the file you want a bam its done
