    I recently downloaded a program from a torrent site. I have tried to look through most of the forums, but haven't been able to find a thread that could help.
    The program was downloaded as a .iso file. What are my steps and programs to use to be able to 'open' up the program for me to be able to install and use on my pc??

    How about none, as what you're asking is piracy, which is against the forum rules.

    Hi,

    Welcme to AfterDawn.

    You downloaded a file that was a free trial, so that was legal, from reading your posts I can't see anything that suggests your doing anything illegal..., So, I'll give you a hand ... :)

    An ISO is just a CD/DVD image, read here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_image

    You need to use software like deamon tools to "mount" the image.

    Good luck :)

    Well, since you said torrent site and .iso, the logical deduction would be that it was pirated software.
    Being a bit more specific about things like that is always a good idea, since we get a LOT of people here asking for help with pirated material.

    Just a note...
    Be careful with Daemon Tools, as the latest free installers were rumoured to be spyware infested. However, I think it is only in the added extras, so if you do get it then make sure to only install the core Daemon Tools bits :)

    @The_Fiend,

    I understand what you mean, just a simple mistake.

    @Ripper,

    Your right, but thats only if you install its toolbar, you can simply click "No" at instalation, then its clean, but yeh, its classed as ad-ware :)
