ok i just installed a xenium ice chip my options when i turn on my xbox are launch menu ,disk tools ,eeprom tools, settings, reboot ,recovery, power off, now thats fine but how do i get my normal xbox screen to pop up i just bought doom 3 put it in xbox and it doesnt play all i see is the xenium menu no mater what i put in just installed chip and that was it. it has own menu and all but why cant i play my xbox games as i do buy games please help newbie here
I don't know anything about your chip, as I use an X3. But, with mine if you disable the chip while booting, you should get your ms dash and be able to play games.
turn your chip off and the game will boot fine...you really should flash your chip with a hacked bios, then install a dashboard...after you have done this you will be able to play games with your chip on as well(just do not sign onto live with your chip on)...check the xenium site for instructions on how to boot with your chip off.
sounds like you didn't flash the TSOP with the Retail Kernel, as the instructions said to do. Any hoo, just flash the chip (not the TSOP) with any hacked bios that loads xboxdash.xbe and you should be able to run your original dash without having to turn off the chip, since that would incline taking your xbox back apart.
