I was wandering what is the best for backing up movies -r's or +r's... does it matter??? my dvd burner supports both but is one better than the other... Thanks
Depends more on your player and the brand of media. -R's are usually cheaper than +R's (at least on line). -R's seem to work on more players but +R's can be booktyped (if your burner allows it) to make it more compatable.
here's two similar links from this very page - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/283388 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/283438
If you want to make sure that your backups play on virtually any player you would consider booktyping DVD+R to DVD-ROM. Then you could take them anywhere and be about guaranteed that they would play for you.
