I was wandering what is the best for backing up movies -r's or +r's... does it matter??? my dvd burner supports both but is one better than the other... Thanks

Depends more on your player and the brand of media.

-R's are usually cheaper than +R's (at least on line). -R's seem to work on more players but +R's can be booktyped (if your burner allows it) to make it more compatable.

If you want to make sure that your backups play on virtually any player you would consider booktyping DVD+R to DVD-ROM. Then you could take them anywhere and be about guaranteed that they would play for you.
