im using memorex dvd+r.also i downloaded firmware and upgraded my dvd recoder,i also have nero6 ultra edition, but dont know how to use it.i do not know what im doing wrong well im following a guide from here.

Instead of setting up DVD Shrink to burn the movie with DVD Decrypter after its done recoding, try setting up DVD Shrink to make an ISO of the output file.

Then use DVD Decrypter to burn the ISO by choosing MODE/ISO/WRITE and choose the ISO file as the source file. Try to burn no faster then 4x.

    Hi Cowboy.

Can i just add that you should really consider the quality of that media you're using? If you can, try moving away from Memorex... Have a look at stuff like Verbatim or maybe Tayo Yuden...

    Hi Cowboy.

That only happens when you haven't got a disk inside the drive.
Place your disk in the drive. Source your ISO. Then try Mode>ISO>Write in Decrypter. You should be able to burn your ISO easily.

    [edit] just an add-on word

    Found out your problem.

You have listed as your DVD burrner being....

Which is a CD-RW burrner but a DVD reader. it is a combo unit. So it burns CD-RW but not DVD it just reads DVD.

    Below is the specs.

Yes that means you will need a DVD burrner to burn DVD's. The drive you have is a combo. It will read DVD's but wont burn them.

    Brand of burrners out there...

    Lite-on
    BenQ
    Pioneer
    Sony
    Plextor

Get a DVD -/+ DL burner. Id make sure they burned both DVD-R and DVD+R and also DVD+R DL(dual layer) Most out there will do all but make sure it does.
