ok here's the deal,I recently lost all my files on my computer word docs, pic and music basically everything.Is there a FREE software that will help me get all my lost info..my hard drive still shows that its full....I found "virtual lab recovery" once i ran this program i was able to see all lost info on my computer...the prices of memory needed to my files back are ridiculous. can you guys please help me find a FREE software to get my files back? Thanks.

If your hard drive is showing up as "unallocated" it might be corrupted. A simple chkdsk x: /f can fix that (x = drive letter of drive). You can also try a scandisk (with boxes to fix errors checked). This will make you hard drive readable again, no need to use a recovery software. The free "testdisk" also has tools to rebuild the bootsector which can make the hard drive readable again.
