    Dunno if this is the correct topic so please move it if is not.

    Ok so I accidentally deleted some video files from my sd card so I downloaded an sd card undelete tool and everything looked good upon recovery. I'd like to mention that nothing was added to the card after deleting the files so I assume nothing was copied over the deleted files... I hope that makes sense..
    But now when I try to play the files in media player classic, which might I add has always played these types of files for me before, I get this error for all of the recovered video'

    C:\Users\Dave\Desktop\_UNP0040.mpg.AVI::Output

    Drag the file into MediaInfo and see if it thinks it's a video file.
    The image shows an avi file using XviD codec for the video and mp3 audio.

    If it does, try running VirtualDub or AviDemux and dragging it in there.

    vitualdub and AviDemux cannot open the file
    virtual dub error is: this avi file doesn't have a movie data block (movi)!
    avidemux just says the file cannot be opened.

    Unless is something very "personal", upload the file to MediaFire for someone to try and have a look at it.
