cheers.the 2ghz core duo once looks quality. edit - that 2ghz laptop is way cool.the specs are amazing.the only tihng its missing is a webcam.does it matter with lightscribe technology?
hey I just went out and bought myself an sony fe770g intel c2d 1.83 1gb ddr2 120gb hd 5400 and lame intel graphic i got it at compusa for 1399.99 plus 150 e-bate it's sweet i'm now creating the restore cd for it. o yeah there's a webcam on the top sweet.
Processors are good you got power there, but dont forget portability you dont want a laptop battery to die out quickly more power consumes battery life.
just remember intel c2d is a brand new thing built up from scratch it's structural are more effecient than yonah yet it deliveries alot more powers.
Here man thi is the best I can do so far I read Acer laptops are pretty good compared to there desktops. But here's a link to the laptop. http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/s...ductId=150380&cmArea=SC3:CG71:DP4118:CL161747 Hope this helps man If anything and you dont like I'll keep on searching. Okay here's another one that might be better than the one above and cheaper. http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/s...ductId=150384&cmArea=SC3:CG71:DP4118:CL161747 Best one I found http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Acer...56035/catOid/-12963/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
MEN no acer they are made from cheap plastic get really hot, pretty heavy also.and monitor is not good. i rather prefer a dell than acer
hey people thanks for all your recommendations.i asked sammorris and he still said a core duo 2ghz 2gb ram is still faster than a core 2 duo 1.83ghz 1gb ram.so ill stick with the hp plus it has alot of nice features such as bluetooth and built in tv tuner.
right people one more thing before i get it.what about the size of the machine.i was lookign at it today and its massive.do you think it will be a problem or will i get used to it?
well you said you'd be running it off the mains all the time so imagine you won't be clunking it round the house. it'd build up your muscles if you are gonna cart it around
laptop means on your lap but who inveted that!!!?? beacuse small or big it doesnt matter because if u use it on your lap you have to be steady any careless move THERE GOES YOUR MONEY jejjee, i had a laptop and in got small table i seat at home in a chair a use it there never on my lap
indeed, my laptop spends quite a bit of time on my lap and i may have knocked the power lead connector a few too many times (must be a little loose), laptop switched off twice on me this weekend, battery hasn't much life in it so i'm at the mercy of the power supply. and in typical fashion it turned off while i was eBaying for a second power suppply. Soon the battery will be useless so i thought i'd get a second supply as the current supply heats up so hot you can't hold it. have to always hang the power supply over a small fan for the whole time i'm using the laptop to stop power supply going up in smoke. maybe it's due to the battery being almost lifeless; but it's the price i paid in buying a laptop, luckily i have a choice of desktops too
ok cool i suppose £1200 for a high spec big laptop is ok.lol i suppose watching dvd's with the remote control would be pretty cool.
