[bold]First and foremost im a complete noob in softmodding so be gentle[/bold] Heres what I Have: Brand new xbox Version K 1.00.58.38.01 D 1.00.6960.01 Splinter Cell: Plantinum hits I didnt buy the actionreplay but i have this Gameshark Gamesaves USB-Xbox memory card, its made by madcatz. 8mb madcatz memory card I've read several tutorials and all seem to be pointing to dragging and dropping files using action replay but with this gameshark gamesave program i cant drag and drop .zip file. It seems to want a .gsv file. How do i get linux on this memory card and then on the xbox. Is there any other ways i can do this without action replay?? Please help me, i bought this xbox to mod and i dont want to spend money on a chip.

hi i can help. i know how to mod, i have modded my friends xboxes and they have worked. i have a mod chip in my box so i didn't do it to mine so if you want help just send me an email and i will go from there
jsoda, no offense, but your solution helps no one in this situation. They are asking a question on softmodding, not chipping their box. And just because you have chipped a few boxes does not make you an expert on soft modding. Wrek0nize, sorry to say, but you do need the Original Splinter Cell, not the Platinum hits version. So if possible return it and hunt down an older copy. As far as the game save is concerned, you should try unzipping the modded gamesave and renaming the extension to .gsv. Gameshark must only read that format so that should allow you to add it to your memory card.
