need mic for Sony HC1, are sony mics good? $150

    Im looking for a shotgun or stereo mic for a HC1 Sony. preverebly with the i.link mount so it is steady. Ive heard many things about sony mics, and id like to get some more thoughts. I am looking for something $150 or less, preferably less that 100

    also, if anyone knows of a cheap way to convert an xlr mic to 1/8 in for the HC1, id like to hear about it. maybe even with phantom power!?

    found a xlr to 1/8" stereo adapter at sam ask for about ten bucks. haven't used it yet becuase we need two mics so i am using a samson audio mixer with phantom (80 bucks), sounds awsome. either way make sure to set mic in manual on the camera when using xlr.
