    I've pretty much decided on this cpu;

    I've got some ideas on a S775 mobo but i'd like to hear yours. For memory I plan on 2 gigs. I'd like to hear about brands. I'll also be looking at 2 SATA drive in the 160 gig range each. Again what brands these days seem to last longer. I hate hdd failures.

    I'll mostly be doing general PC playing around, not into gaming. But I do a fair amout of video encoding. Love that avi2dvd...

    have a good look through the last few of weeks in the official pc builders thread. then ask any other questions you have in there

    abit ab9 is a good mobo for its price(not the best but it dont cost too much)

    corsair xms2 (ddr800 if you want to overclock it)

    samsungs are good hds for the price, hitachi deskstars and western digital also do vgood ones but they tend to cost more.

    thing is you get what you pay for.
